the forces of the Bambu Free Company as it stands today
just under 100 points in Midgard terms
Well, not entirely free, there is the matter of 1.3 cents per mini for the filament, and doubtless some electricity costs as well. I am willing to absorb such costs and still feel as if they were free. Some of the minis came out rather well, a few look a bit awkward (they get to stand in the middle rear row of the formation) but on the whole I am quite satisfied with the results.
slingers, these could easily have been made into clubmen if needs be
skirmishing archers
ditto, a sort of Robin Hood thing going on with this lot
heavy foot, or dismounted sergeants
more of the same except this lot has brought its spears
some aggressive (and surprisingly well-armed) peasants
Hi Anton! Fellow Bambu owner here. You did these figures with a filament printer? Wow, I'm impressed, they turned out well and nicely painted too. I should try some figures with my printer, at the moment I've only done ships and buildings. Cheers, Michael
ReplyDeleteThe heads and arms are spare bits from various plastic mini sprues, just the legs/torsos are 3-D prints. There are links to where I got the free files in earlier posts, those links also provide STLs of heads, arms and weapons so you don't really need to have any spare bits to hand. The .01mm hot end goes a long way to getting rid to the visible layers problem.
