Let The Drudgery Begin! Starting painting thirty-six cavalry horses

I know it is my own fault, I built all of them at once, and thus they all need painting at the same time. To top it all off I have decided to paint some as Hospitallers and some other as Teutonics, one in white and the other in black. Both are colors I find difficult to paint, particularly the white. Happily the rest are subject to the usual palette of colors which will reduce my boredom.

And no, The Muse is not singing, this is sheer bull-headedness that is driving me.

  1. These hospitaller ones are coming along really well. I agree, white is tricky, especially over large areas, but yours will look great, I am sure, given how well you have painted these black caparisons!.
    Best wishes, James

    1. Thank you for your kind words...right now I am struggling whether to use "cool" shading (neutral grays) or to try "warm" and use browns for shadows. I'm leaning neutral as the Teutonic Knights often fought in the winter.

    1. I have never met anyone that likes it, I'm sure there is some deranged soul somewhere that enjoys it and, if I ever meet him, I will have to set up some sort of business deal with him (I have lots of horses in need of paint)
