Everyone else cowered before the might of Mother Nature and stayed home, but your faithful servant, the Housemartin, braved the elements went to the event. That and to see my kid who lives on the other side of our state. These pictures are taken in a counter clockwise pattern from the hall entry.
So for those who might be interested here are photos from the first session. Due to my family commitments and desire to get home safely (the weather arrived during the afternoon) I was unable to stay for the other two sessions.
Unfortunately I do not remember what this game was. I believe it was some sort of 10mm game involving colonial troops, but I could be VERY wrong on this.Rod Cain and his Triumph Game system, this time of Romans vs Carthage was set up and ready for action.
Next up was the Board game, but unfortunately I did not catch the game name at all.
This was a Napoleonic Skirmish game where several long range shots were successful at dropping their targets to much hoopla from the gamers involved. Easily the most raucous game of the session.
I hope you found the eye candy interesting.

Some wonderful photos. I like the look of that 6mm game - very nice terrain.
ReplyDeleteIt was a very interesting game to watch, they were moving right along through the battle.
DeleteLooks like a lot of good games. Thanks for the pics. I will have to make it up to Spartacon some day. January weather and driving from Columbus makes it difficult!
ReplyDeleteThere is a reason Anton calls it "Weather Event Con". This year the driving issue was getting home. Getting there went smoothly and easily. The storm hit in the afternoon for a change of pace. I chose the wrong way to go home and it made my drive worse than it needed to be, but once I got going the options were all even worse so I just struggled through it.
