Lace Wars, First unit of Horse nears completion

     I finally got a couple of hours of free time and decided to take a crack at finishing the Horse. I didn't quite make it to done but they are coming along nicely. Just a little bit of detailing, a flag and some ground effects and they will be battle-ready.

 

the horses are a tad small for early 18th century Horse

 but they seem to look OK as a group

 

I tried to get the troopers in the same pose, 

some variation crept in

 

unsatisfied by the results of the wash I had applied

 I broke one of my rules and went back and added highlights

 

the highlighting helped a lot but I might just avoid white for the rest of the Horse
