These are for the period of time up to the beginning of the German involvement in the North African Campaign. The Italian player will find that he has to plan things in advance, move carefully and get lucky to prevail. The British will find things very much in their favor (I AM trying to be historical here guys!). This will, to a large extent, offset the gigantic numerical disparity between the opposing sides. These cards go with my WW2 rules which can be found by following this link.
CHANGES TO THE BASIC RULES:
Firing on the move: the British Cruiser tank crews trained extensively on firing while moving, the tanks were designed with a balanced gun mount that greatly eased the efforts of the gunner. As such the British Cruiser tanks only suffer a "-1" for shooting on the move.
Air and artillery support: both sides had a fairly ineffective system of tactical air support and thus both use the Russian air support section from the rules. Conversely both armies had effective and well supplied artillery and so they both use the German artillery support section.

Okay where are the Bersaglieri. These where pretty tough troopers.
ReplyDeleteThey could be activated under any of the sets of cards, I would put them under "Specials" They were good troops but their generals were still far from inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI would rate them as "Fanatics" for morale purposes, perhaps with "Better quality equipment" as they got first dibs on new stuff.
