There are times when you see something and just know that you have to buy it. You aren't sure what for, or why, but you just need it now. This happened recently when I was walking through a Michaels Arts & Crafts store recently and spotted these little gems;
At just over ten inches long they are a very convienient size and are really neat. I am not sure just yet what they will become but I know it will be cool. The store on M-59 just east of M-53 in Shelby Michigan still has several left if you are interested.

ReplyDeleteI really love the Monitor you have at the top of your Blog too - I need one to go cruising upon the Martian Canals!
I intend on building another ironclad and I will do a step-by-step posting when I do. I occasionally work to commission but not often any more.
DeleteI'll look forward to that and giving it a crack myself!
DeleteExcellent! Now this is a grand "ride" for my Martians! No doubt but that they would be styling in such a beautiful ship as this. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! And infuriating! These things are so close to sketches in my notebook! Grrr...
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you make of them.
All the Best!
Good Colonel,
DeleteI would be happy to check the store that I got these from, there were several still to hand last I saw. If they still have one (or two) I would be happy to forward a copy (or two) to you. We could then engage in a Gentlemanly contest to create the most intriguing spacecraft (although, having seen your work, I am almost certain to lose!).
I am still at wit's end trying to decide how to tackle these and a gentleman's wager would no doubt give impetus to my muse.
